Four staff, namely Mr. Leung Tsz Fung, Ms. Ngan Yuk Ying, Ms. Chan Sau Yee and Mr. Lo Yan Hoi received the Outstanding Employee Award under the 3rd Elderly Service Outstanding Employee Award, to acknowledge their devotion and commitment in provision of professional caring services to elders in need and a role model for their fellow workers.

Recently the gambling problem of the retired and elderly is on the rise. The social worker of Caritas Addicted Gamblers Counselling Centre introduces the symptoms, the causes and the handling of gambling addiction in the episodes below.

Hong Kong’s first cat counselling room was set up under the Gato Home project. Gato Home project received the 2017 Best Practice Awards in Social Welfare. This cat room was launched to facilitate a series of Animal Assisted Therapy-related activities, with the use of the interactions with animals to maintain a stronger devotion in drug rehabilitation.


Caritas Jockey Club Integrated Service for Young People - Wong Tai Sin received a grant from Hong Kong Community Partnership Programme 2017 to implement “WTS Super Power Kids” project from September 2017 to August 2018. Services are provided for different target groups such as children with special educational needs, Ethnic Minorities and families living in sub-divided units so as to develop their potentials and build up their self-confidence. The project is awarded Outstanding District Efforts Award – Wong Tai Sin and Outstanding Community Project Award.
